Qcare Australia Pty Ltd is a family owned company established to promote and assist in the delivery of quality care and retirement housing services to older Australians. QCare Australia seeks to do this by:
- Operating a consulting service to providers of retirement housing and residential care services for older persons;
- Assisting in research, planning, development, marketing and operational aspects of retirement housing and residential aged care initiatives;
- Operating a consumer help-line to assist older persons and their families to locate suitable retirement housing and care services; and
- Providing real estate services to older Australians and the broader community.
QCare Australia is committed to assisting older persons to identify the style of retirement accommodation best suited to their health and lifestyle needs, and to assist them — and their families — to achieve the optimal outcome in marketing or leasing the family home.
Lyal & Pat Allen
QCare Australia's principals have a longstanding interest and involvement in the aged care industry, and work through the consultancy and real estate services to support older Australians, their families and carers.
Lyal Allen
Lyal's interest in aged care dates back to the late 1970s, sharing in voluntary pastoral ministry and involvement in the planning and development of new residential aged care facilities at the nearby St Lukes Retirement Village at Dapto, on the Illawarra Coast of NSW.
With a professional background in engineering, surveying and civil/survey design, Lyal has applied practical design and strategic planning skills to the benefit of the aged care industry in Australia. Since the late 1980s — in association with Stan Manning & Associates — he has been self-employed as a specialist consultant in the planning, management and marketing of retirement housing and residential aged care facilities.
Lyal has held a prior position as an accredited Advisor under Division 66A (Sanctions Provisions) of the Commonwealth Aged Care Act 1997, holds a Diploma in Business – Real Estate Management, and is a licensed:
- Real Estate Agent
- Business Agent
- Stock & Station Agent
His project experience spans the Sydney Metropolitan, Southern Highlands, Central Coast, and North and South Coastal Regions of NSW, and interstate.
Pat Allen
Pat assists in the business administration of QCare Australia and takes a particular interest in working directly with families to identify the right care and/or housing needs of our clients.
QCare Australia also works in close partnership with a range of professionals — including property valuers, financial planners, aged care providers, clinical and geriatric care specialists, health professionals and community agencies — to provide the full range of skills that may be required in identifying the right care and retirement housing option.
